10 Letters to Living a Happier Life

abigailWe’re all looking for ways to improve the quality of our lives, in one way or another. Whether it’s through bettering yourself with exercise or healthy eating habits or maybe even through faith or meditation….actively seeking any positive change is the first step in living a happier life. Sometimes it helps to have a guideline on how to apply these changes daily and permanently, without any real sacrifice in the process, and this small yet inspirational tool can prove to be quite powerful.

It’s what I call the 10 Letter Philosophy.

The Selfish 1-Letter  – “I” – Avoid it.
The Satisfying 2-letter – “WE” – Use it.
The Poisonous 3-letter “EGO” – Kill it.
The Most Used 4-letter “LOVE” – Value it.
The Pleasing 5-letter “SMILE” – Keep it.
The Fastest Spreading 6-letter “RUMOR” – Ignore it.
The Hardest working 7-letter “SUCCESS” – Achieve it.
The Enviable 8-letter “JEALOUSY” – Distance it.
The Powerful 9-letter “KNOWLEDGE” – Acquire it.
The Essential 10-letter “CONFIDENCE” – Trust it.

Becoming a better person takes time and commitment. It can be challenging at times and twice as challenging in others. It aint easy but then again nothing truly worth it ever is. Yet when you apply the 10 Letter Philosophy you can not only increase happiness and improve the relationships with those around you but also with the most important person in your life – YOU.
